Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Mintervention

Man, this ice cream is mint! (That was a double entendre: mint as in "excellent" and mint as in a "flavour").

Sick of relying on chicken for your protein source? Then it's time for a mintervention!

Before You Begin:

Step 1: Buy an Ice Cream Machine. I got mine at the rainforest place for ~$50 here.

Step 2: Watch my "How to Use an Ice Cream Machine Tootorial Video" or just read my instructions here.

Recipe:

Blend the following in a blender:

  • 1 cup unsweetened cashew milk
  • 2 TBSP nonfat plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 scoop of BSN Syntha-6 Edge Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp of peppermint extract (it depends how minty you want it)

Add this mixture to your ice cream machine (turn the machine ON before adding the mixture)

It takes about 15-20 minutes in the machine. Once it's ready, turn off the machine and immediately remove the ice cream from the ice cream bowl.

Enjoy!

  2. I made this last night and my whole family loved it. I only had chocolate protein powder so I used that and added 1/8 teaspoon of peppermint extract. It turned out great. Thanks for the great recipes!
