I bet you haven't had an ice cream float in eons! This is my new favourite recipe re-discovery!

  • Quick, Easy and FUN to make!
  • Millions of flavour combinations (I provide a ton of ideas at the end of this post)!
  • Delicious & Very Filling!
  • Only 90 calories!

Protein Ice Cream FLOATS


Recipe:

1. Place the following into Blender:

  • 1/2 scoop of BSN Isoburn Protein Powder (Vanilla Ice Cream Flavour)
  • 1 cup of unsweetened cashew or vanilla almond milk.
  • 2 TBSP Walden Farms Marshmallow Dip (Calorie and Sugar free). It makes the ice cream “creamier”. You can substitute this with 2 TBSP of non fat Greek Yogurt but you may need to add stevia to sweeten the yogurt.

2. Place the mixture from step 1 into an ice cream machine. You can watch my ice cream machine tutorial to learn how to make ice cream without getting angry!


3. Place the following into a tall glass:

  • Half of your ice cream
  • Slowly pour the Zevia Cola. Add more Zevia once the fizz settles.
  • Mix the Zevia and ice cream together with a spoon. Add more Zevia as needed
  • Top with the rest of your ice cream. Add more Zevia as needed.
  • Insert a straw from the side (not the centre). You want room for your ice cream to expand.

4. Take a photo of your masterpiece and post it on Instagram so I can see it! Tag #drsarasolomon, #teamSS, #fatlossfast

  • calories: 90, fat: 3.6g, saturated fat: 0.5g, cholesterol: 5mg, sodium: 270mg, carbohydrates: 4g, fiber: 1.8g, sugars: 1g, protein: 10.8g

Flavour variations:

  • BSN Isoburn comes in strawberry, vanilla and chocolate.
  • BSN Syntha-6 comes in tons of flavours!
  • Zevia comes in many flavours. It's sweetened with Stevia. I recommend the rainbow pack so you can experiment! You could also use your favourite diet sodas (Diet Coke, Diet Sprite, Diet Root Beer, Diet Dr. Pepper, etc).

    • Orange Creamsicle Float: Zevia Orange & BSN Isoburn Vanilla Ice Cream
    • Apple Pie Float: Sparkling Ice Crisp Apple & BSN Isoburn Vanilla Ice Cream with a pinch of Nutmeg and Cinnamon
    • Pumpkin Pie Float: Zevia Cream Soda and make the ice cream with BSN Syntha 6 Cinnamon Bun, canned pumpkin, nutmeg & cinnamon.
    • Cookies & Cream Float: Zevia Cream Soda & BSN Syntha-6 Cookies & Cream
    • Peaches & Cream Float: Sparkling Ice Peach Nectarine & BSN Isoburn Vanilla Ice Cream
    • Strawberries & Cream Float: Zevia Strawberry & BSN Isoburn Vanilla Ice Cream
    • Reverse Stawberries & Cream Float: Zevia Cream Soda & BSN Isoburn Strawberry Milkshake
    • Strawberry Lovers Float: Zevia Strawberry & BSN Isoburn Strawberry Milkshake
    • Strawberry Banana Float: Zevia Strawberry & BSN Syntha-6 Banana
