Granola Bars

  • Today I'm going to teach you how to make granola bars!
  • The recipe yields 16 bars.
  • I recommend you watch the short video at the bottom of this post before making the recipe.

Materials:

  • cookie sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • Measuring Cup
  • glass baking pan

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup chopped peanuts
  • 3 cup rolled oats (or use 5 Grain Rolled Hot Cereal)
  • 1/2 scoop Whey (vanilla)
  • sprinkle of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 container (1/2 cup) unsweetened applesauce

This recipe makes 16 bars

So 1 bar is:

calories 151, fat 5.6g, sat fat 1.4g, cholesterol: 3.2mg, sodium 5.5mg, carbohydrates: 22.1g, fibre 4.3g, sugars 5.4g, protein 5.6g


Written Recipe:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Spread the 3 cups of oats & 2/3 cup of chopped peanuts onto a cookie sheet and toast in the oven for 10 minutes
  • Place the following into a large mixing bowl and mix by hand
    • 2 mashed ripe bananas
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
    • sprinkle of cinnamon
    • 1/2 scoop Whey (vanilla)
  • Add this to the bowl and mix:
    • the toasted oats and peanuts
    • 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • Transfer this mixture to a glass baking dish lined with parchment paper. Press it down firmly.
  • Bake for 30 minutes
  • Let cool for 20 minutes before cutting into 16 bars.
  • Store in an airtight container.
