Carbs at Night?

Today's episode:

When is the best time to eat carbs? Morning, noon or night? We’ve all been told to eat our carbs in the morning and early afternoon because we will be more likely to “burn them off” with our daily activities. If we eat them at night, we will store fat. Bull roar! Watch the video to learn all the reasons why you should eat your carbs at night.

Most people don’t realize their posture, tightness, pee leaks, plateaus, and injuries are all connected. That’s where I come in. Hi! I’m Dr. Sara Solomon. I have degrees in physiotherapy (BSc) and dentistry (DMD), and I specialize in helping midlife humans finally understand their body. Inside my Strength Academy, I teach you how to fix what’s actually holding you back: your breathing mechanics, core control, and nervous system ... and then build real strength and mobility on top of it. Strength that transfers to life and badass skills like pull-ups, handstands, splits and Nauli Kriya (yes, that’s a thing 👽). Come for the pain relief. Stay for the unexpected power.

  1. Thank you for your tutorials I love them, I’ve started fasting for 20 hrs a day every day. Is this ok or should I take a day off a week?

    Thank you x

  2. Hi Sara,

When you fast for 24hrs, do you still take all your vitamins that day or do you wait till the next day when you break your fast?

    Thank you so much,

  3. Thank you so much,

Your explanation was easy to follow and very informative. Yes, it does go against everything I inherently believe in, but the research is there. Would this be something I could implement? I wake up Monday -Friday, exercise at 6am, with my morning group. I feel like my body needs food afterwards. Then I teach high school… so you can imagine… I much throughout the day, constantly, on clean foods. There is an occasional cookie or cupcake. After work I’m back at the studio for my evening classes. I teach a HIIT class, then Yoga. I do the Yoga class with my group, one hour of warm vinyasa flow. Then sometimes I’ll stay after it’s over for another class, if I feel like it… Should I even try to fast if I’m highly active? I’m 5’4″, 130lbs, 18-20% BF… Very happy with my body and level of strength but there is always room for improvement. Wdyt?
