Stiff Rib Cage? Tight Back? Try This 360 Breathing Routine

Stiff Rib Cage? Tight Back?

Stiff rib cage? Tight back? Can’t seem to breathe into your sides or back?

In this follow-along breathing routine, I’ll coach you through exercises designed to improve rib cage mobility, torso expansion, and pressure management.

When your rib cage and torso become stiff, your body starts compensating. That can contribute to abdominal distension, lower belly pooching, neck tension, shoulder problems, poor overhead mobility, pelvic floor symptoms (leaks, heaviness), and reduced core stability.

Unlike most breathing videos, this is a complete follow-along workout. You won’t have to pause the video or figure it out on your own: I coach you through the entire session from start to finish.

This video comes from my "Fix Your Upper Body" program. You can get the Fix Your Upper Body program as a standalone program with lifetime access, or it’s included with an active Strength Academy membership, where you’ll also get access to my complete library of follow-along workout programs.

Hi, I’m Dr. Sara Solomon — nervous system and movement nerd. I teach midlifers how to become HARDER TO KILL. I’ve been where you are: stiff, frustrated, injured, and wondering if I’d ever feel strong and capable again. Spoiler: I did, and you can too. I'm in my late 40s and I move better than I did in my 20s — thanks to NERVOUS SYSTEM TRAINING, the missing link nobody told midlifers about. Inside my Strength Academy, I help you prove you’re not behind, not unfixable, and definitely not too old. You just need the right system. Come for the pain relief. Stay for the unexpected power.
